Well this story will be a bit different as this wasn't really a vacation out to Africa, seen as though I am from Africa... Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa to be exact...

But non the less my trip up north to Shelanti Game reserve in the Limpopo where my best friend works was one of the best trips of my life!

When someone says the word Africa you immediately assume wild and uncivilized... BUSH! Well that's not always the case and in places Africa is very built up and modernized, and because of that fact there are many wild animals which I have never seen before and have been so desperate to see...

Well I managed to tick off so many animals and birds from my "have not seen" list on this Holiday that it still seems quite unreal to me!

I was lucky enough to see Leopard, Brown Hyena, Bat-eared Fox, Elephant, Rhino, Buffalo, Characal, Bushbaby (my mate has one as a pet), Black Impala, Golden Wildebeest... Lapped-faced Vulture, Black Eagle, Marabou Stork, Red Crested Korhaan, Burchell's Sandgrouse, Violet Eared Waxbill, CrimsonBreasted Shrike (Quite common but beautiful)... I could really go on for a while with this. It was awesome!

Obviously you can see that I am quite an avid birder, but when there so many interesting birds that you have never seen before you can't help but get excited!

I did so much while I was there it was incredible, like helping my mate look for poachers in the Gyro-copter he flies, setting up a Leopard bait to try to get photo's of one and looking at bushman paintings (Rock Art) and old ruins from long past communities!

All in all it was just one of the most amazing holidays/trips that I have ever had!

And would I go back???

Yes! Tomorrow if I could!
